Dig deeper to express yourself
and to gain understanding
Reflective writing - or journaling - can provide a useful outlet for thoughts and feelings.
No worries about complete sentences or grammar.
No grades.
It's just for you.
"Writing can lead to reflection. Reflection can lead to understanding. Understanding can lead to happiness."
Anna Quindlen
Writing for personal growth can be done in a variety of ways: by writing sentences, lists, lyrics, poetry, or perhaps drawing. Choose whatever creative method helps you express yourself.

For some people, it is difficult to talk about emotions.
For some people, writing can be a supplement to talking about emotions.
Writing things down - pen to paper - can be a form of therapy. Not quick social media posts or emotionless texts. Actual private thoughts and feelings for your eyes only, or for sharing, if you choose to do so.

In the simplest form, writing things down helps you organize your thoughts or your tasks, which in itself tends to reduce anxiety.

Going a little deeper, writing down thoughts with feelings can release what is often an unending circle in your mind (or "rumination") that is distracting and raises your anxiety.

Going deeper still, I can ask questions or give you writing prompts that can lead to even greater understanding, taking what is on your mind then probing into your unconscious mind.

Maybe we can embark on an inner journey of discovery.
